NEC Spring Fair Debut  
January 2012
Nine Intamarque employees will be exhibiting at the NEC Spring Fair show in Birmingham from 4th – 9th February (Stand G07-J06). This will be the first time the company has exhibited at the Spring Fair and marks an exciting new era for the business with over 1000 products on the stand including new food and drinks. The business will be meeting with existing accounts and hoping to attract many new retail and wholesale customers who visit the show.

Intamarque has been featured in the Insider South West Top 500 list of companies at no. 288, up from no. 297 in 2010. The rankings are calculated on companies' performance based on turnover and profitability and sponsored by Teloitte and Santander. The news has been welcomed by the company's Directors who are proud to represent the South West where they were brought up.

Intamarque makes major investment in new ERP system

Intamarque has selected M-Hance, the world's largest Microsoft GP partner to implement a new ERP system in the business to replace it's current Sage system. The new solution offers a fully integrated platform for data, and includes Dynamics GP plus a range of m-hance distribution modules. It will cover all aspects of Intamarque's business including financials, telesales, pricing and promotions management, route planning, advanced inventory management, Warehouse management and Business Intelligence. Stephen Shortt comments, "We're especially excited about the use of Smartlists and other BI tools to set up KPI monitoring on our desktops and about the options we have for future IT development."

Intamarque Ventures Into Philanthropy  October 2011 Intamarque, is helping the National Star College to fund its Lake House Project, by becoming a 'Star Investor'. Intamarque is donating £3,750 to the College and is also providing a 3 years interest free loan of £7,000. The Venture Philanthropy initiative is an innovative and unique way of funding capital projects at the College and the net cost to each donor after the loan has been repaid. The Lake House Project is to adapt an existing 1970's building on the site to provide a much needed, modern living unit for a small number of young people with complex physical disabilities who require access to the resources at the College, such as respite care.
VMWARE
Intamarque goes virtual!  September 2011 The business has made a significant investment in computer virtualisation using the market leader VMWare and Citrix. The system provides a one-box set up rather than having multiple servers and will enable Intamarque to have greater flexibility with it's IT infrastructure long into the future. The system also reduces running costs due to less cooling systems which is more environmentally friendly and provides a robust Disaster Recovery plan.
Directors Meet The Prime Minister
Directors Meet The Prime Minister July 2011 On 6th July Richard and Stephen Shortt were invited to 10 Downing Street to meet The Prime Minister, The Rt Hon David Cameron MP to celebrate the UK's entrepreneurs and fastest-growing businesses. At the reception The Prime Minister asked how Intamarque has been so successful and for ideas to improve business with the Government's help.

Directors Meet Sir Richard Branson June 2011 The Directors of Intamarque meet Sir Richard Branson at his home in Oxfordshire at the Fast Track 100 dinner. Also speaking at the dinner were the Chairman of Dreams Beds, Cole & Able and Moonpig.

Record Year for Intamarque June 2011 Intamarque achieved is most successful year with sales up from £23.6m to £31m. Despite the tough economic climate the company has continued to buck the trend showing an impressive 31% growth and strong profits. The strong perfomance has been attributed to the continued investment in new staff and new manufacturer partnerships being developed during the year.

Fast Track 100 May 2011 Intamarque is ranked the 39th fastest growing company in the UK by the prestigious Fast Track 100 sponsored by Virgin and The Royal Mail. The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 league table ranks Britain's 100 fastest-growing private companies, based on sales growth over 3 years. Fast Track 100 is compiled by Fast Track and published in The Sunday Times each December, with an awards event at Richard Branson's Oxfordshire home in May and follow-up regional dinners throughout the year.

Charity Donations March 2011 Intamarque donates £2000 to local charities. The first is the Leckhampton Court Hospice who support people with cancer and other life limiting conditions. The hospice aims to meet the needs of the whole person, their family and carers, with the support and expertise of our multi-professional specialist palliative care team. The second is The National Star College also based just outside Leckhampton, who provide personalised learning and transition services for young people aged 16 to 25 with complex physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries and associated sensory, learning, medical, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

New Warehouse Management System January 2011 Intamarque goes live with a new wireless Warehouse Management System, fully integrated with its Sage Accounts system. The system has been developed by Beacon Link and enables seamless paperless picking, goods in, stock location, stock checking and product traceability, using Psion Teklogix Pro 3 handhelds devices. The new investment in IT will reduce warehousing costs, in line with the company's commitment to a 'lean' business model.

Growing Business Awards October 2010 Intamarque is shortlisted for the Young Company of the Year at the 2010 Growing Business Awards presented by Real Business and the CBI. The Growing Business Awards are attended by many of the world's greatest entrepreneurs, including Theo Paphitis, Sir John Madejski, Lord Paul, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, Peter Jones, GK Noon, Toni Mascolo, Julie Meyer, Linda Bennett, Gerry Ford, Bill Gates, Sir Philip Green, Duncan Bannatyne, John Caudwell, and many others. The awards receive coverage across the UK media, such as the BBC, Sky News and CNBC.

Nisa Today June 2010 Intamarque joins Nisa-Today's as a wholesale member. Nisa-Today's is the UK's leading member-owned organisation, providing benefits to independent retailers and wholesalers in food and drink markets. Nisa-Today's achieved a turnover, for the year ending March 2010, of £1.4 billion and represents retail stores and wholesale depots across the UK (including Northern Ireland), the Channel Islands and the Republic of Ireland.

MHRA February 2010 Intamarque is granted a Wholesale Dealer's Licence by the government body, the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency). The licence enables Intamarque to store and distribute OTC (over the counter) medicines in the UK. The rigorous new check systems put into place include temperature control, staff training, tracking and recall procedures.
